A Little About Us...

As a child growing up in Aguadilla, San Antonio, Puerto Rico, I remember my parents buying my brother and I piraguas every time we went down to the pueblo (downtown). It was so good and refreshing and sweet! Now as an adult and a parent, I want my children to enjoy what I experienced as a child having a piragua. I know that in many other countries other people have had piraguas in their life time. For those who don't know what piraguas are it's also called snow cones in english. Piraguas are shaved ice put into a cup with flavored syrup. There are many different flavors like cherry, coconut, pineapple, orange, etc... I thought, what a great idea to help others remember their childhood with piraguas/snow cones. I have not seen any piraguas cart here in Worcester and I had the idea to start one. So I began to do some research and started making the cart. What fun I had making these carts with my father. Here's a picture of my dad and the boat cart we made. By the way...both carts passed inspection! My mother would come into the shop ever so often and would crack up laughing. Saying,"what are you guys up to?" It brought back lots of childhood memories.
I am also providing an entertainment service to those who are interested in hiring me to do parties! I can do certain parties, get togethers, picnics, family reunions, baby showers, bridal showers and weddings. Also children's sport activities, school functions, etc... Chupito's Piraguas Story
It's a hot, sweltering day and the air conditioner is not working and you're craving for something cold and different. All of a sudden you hear outside, "WEEEPPAA! PIRAGUA, PIRAAAGGUUAAAAS! CHUPITO'S PIRAGUAS!!" You say to yourself, all right! That's exactly what I need! You send the kids to stop Chupito the Piraguero and you grab your purse full of change and run to him. You finally get there and there's a line!!! Kids are excited and yell out what flavors they want. Your next, but there's so many flavors. Which will I choose? Coconut? Pineapple? Cherry? Grape? Watermelon? Tamarindo? Palcha? The list goes on. So much to choose from. Finally, you picked your refreshing favorite piragua! AAAHHHHH! What a perfect ending! Thank you Chupito!
